The Jungle Book ha trionfato ai Visual Effects Society Awards, comunemente chiamati VES Awards, assegnati nella serata di ieri al Beverly Hilton Hotel di Los Angeles ai film e alle serie tv che si sono distinte in questo campo nell’ultimo anno.
Il film diretto da Jon Favreau ha portato a casa ben 5 premi tra cui miglior film, migliore animazione (per King Louie), fotografia virtuale, simulazioni e compositing.
Una piccola curiosità: nelle ultime 15 edizioni degli Oscar, in 14 occasioni la pellicola che ha trionfato nella categoria miglior film dei VES Awards si è portato a casa la statuetta per i migliori effetti visivi. Continuerà questa tradizione? Lo scopriremo solo la sera del 26 febbraio.
La serie tv che ha portato a casa il maggior numero di premi è Game of Thrones, con ben cinque premi su sei disponibili.
